	Sydney Hockey School August 11 – 14 Centre 200 To maximize individual attention, every group will be limited to 22 players and 3 goaltenders. This school is open to boys and girls from ages 6 – 17. It consists of four separate schools divided by age group and a High-Performance Elite School for Bantam/Midget/High School players. Atom, PeeWee, and Bantam. Each group will have 10 hours on-ice time, spread over 4 days. One off-ice session daily will be structured to the needs of each age group. An excellent instructor to player ratio will be maintained in all sessions. The school will focus on the basic skills of skating, puckhandling, passing and shooting. In addition, the school is designed to stress the individual fundamental skills and systems-related aspects critical for a player to become an accomplished Defenceman, Forward, or Goaltender. Separate defence, forward and goaltender drills will be conducted for each age group. At times, defencemen, forwards, and goaltenders will work apart and at times together. Novice for players born in 2000, 2001 and 2002. This school is on-ice only with no off-ice sessions. On-ice time 6 hours. The school will focus on the basic skills of skating, puckhandling, passing and shooting. In addition, this school will feature some limited 1 on 1, 2 on 1 type drills structured to get Novice age players used to the roles of forwards and defencemen. Novice detailed schedule On-ice time : 6 hours Cost: $180. Cost for Goaltenders: $140. The Bantam/Midget High-Performance Elite School is open to competitive level players born in 1991 through 1995. It is on-ice only and will be high intensity with challenging sessions and many game situational drills. On-ice time 8 hours. The school will focus on the basic skills of skating, puckhandling, passing and shooting. In addition, the school is designed to stress the individual fundamental skills and systems-related aspects critical for a player to become an accomplished Defenceman, Forward, or Goaltender. Separate defence, forward and goaltender drills will be conducted. At times, defencemen, forwards, and goaltenders will work apart and at times together.
