In its seventeenth year, this program has become very popular. Unlike many goalie schools, we expose goalies to a wide range of styles and instructors. We feel most young goalies are developing a style and we work with each as an individual.

This is a full-day school with on-ice sessions supported by thoroughly planned off-ice sessions. Our aim is to make this school the best of its kind in Atlantic Canada. Instruction covers all the basics of goaltending, often in simulated game situations. Particular attention will be paid to each goaltender’s experience level. Instructors will ensure the drills challenge each goaltender appropriately. We plan a limit of 24 goaltenders moving through various drills at six – eight separate stations. The pattern for the drills we have planned will maximize the active participation of all our players and reduce the downtime common to goaltending schools.

Off-ice sessions will be tailored specifically for goaltenders. Workouts, lectures, stetching sessions and videos will deal with the physical skills and mental attitudes that are necessary to become an outstanding goaltender.

These sessions are goaltender-specific and add immeasurably to the development of goaltenders of all ages.

On-ice time: 12 hours
Off-ice sessions: one session daily

Note: In addition to this goaltenders school, we take 3 goaltenders per group in all our other summer schools. We assign an individual instructor to the goaltenders in these schools. (Goalies that attend our goalie school can attend a regular summer school at a cost of $150 per school)
