Halifax Spring Specialty Hockey Schools

All sessions at Centennial Arena
To maximize individual attention, every group will be limited to 22 players. This school is open to boys and girls from ages 4 17.
IP1 detailed schedule
This school is for players with limited or no playing experience. The majority of players would be born in 2003/04. This school is excellent for kids that have Can Skate experience. The school will focus on the basic skills of skating, puck handling, passing and shooting. Past experience points to dramatic improvement for registrants in this school.
On-ice time: 5 hours

IP2 detailed schedule
This school is for players (born in 2002) who have completed a season in IP1. The school will focus on the basic skills of skating, puck handling, passing and shooting. Past experience points to dramatic improvement for registrants in this school.

Novice Power Skating detailed schedule
Atom Power Skating detailed schedule
Pee Wee/Bantam Power Skating detailed schedule
Advanced Midget/Junior Power Skating detailed schedule
These schools will focus on quick starts, stopping, acceleration, stride lengthening, crossovers, lateral movement, backward striding, pivoting, turning and transition. Marie Bowness, a former Canadian Skating Pairs Champion, will be the primary instructor for these schools.

Novice Puckhandling & Shooting detailed schedule
Atom Puckhandling & Shooting detailed schedule
PeeWee/Bantam Puckhandling & Shooting detailed schedule
These schools will focus on puck handling at high speed, puck protection, passing, one on one situations, deking, puck control in game situations, the mechanics of shooting, shooting power, accuracy, shooting in motion, one timers, positioning, and various shot options.
On-ice time: 6 hours
